How often do you take a bath? I'm asking humans and canines both. Our parents seem to take one every day (most of the time), but they've been slacking when it comes to baths for us. On the one paw, we aren't really complaining because we aren't big fans of baths, but on the other paw, it sure is nice to smell good!
Mommy gave us each a bath when Ruger first got home from his training around the first week of May. Since then, we've each walked about three miles a day all summer long, been to the dawg park, swam with the fishes, (eaten a few fish too) and dealt with our 100+ temps this summer. Don't you think all that merits a bath at some point??? You'd think we'd be stinky, right? Apparently not to Mommy's nose! Or Daddy's either!
Mommy didn't give us another bath until September 1!!!!!! Can you believe that?????
These pictures were taken after Ruger's bath. He went first. She grabbed her camera and brought it to the crime scene (aka bathroom) after that. We use as many beach towels as possible, old and new! This makes Mommy have to do a load of laundry afterwards. It's our payback for the bath!
This is after Jenna's bath. She went second. I'm trying my best to find the nearest exit.
GROSS!!!! This is amazingly only hair from one of us! Mommy has to clean out the drain in between dawgs! But who else can say they use such glamorous shampoo? Mommy picked this up at TJMaxx a while back. (Probably years ago at the rate she gives us baths!)
Then it was my turn! This is my last ditch effort to use my puppy eyes to say PLEASE NO!!!
It didn't work! I got what was coming to me! You'd think from this picture that treats were involved, but that certainly wasn't true. A treat might help lure us into the bathroom or the actual shower or just as a reward for being good boys and girls, but NOPE! Sheer will power on Mommy's part is what it takes!
So back to my original question, how often do YOU take a bath? By now, it's probably time for another, but at Mommy's rate it will be Christmas before that happens again!
