Gooooo Dawgs!

For the second year in a row, the University of Georgia Bulldogs have had a great football season.  We've been showing off our Bulldog pride all season long on Instagram with purchases Mommy made via shops she found on Instagram.

First up are the flowers and bow tie we purchased from our friends Ruger and Raven (@rugergonewild).  Their Mom makes these in her store called Raven's Garden.  (You should go online and check out Raven; she and Dixie could be twins!)  You can request any color you want.  Naturally, we needed something in red, white, and black!

Don't we look pawsome?

The other purchase Mommy made for us comes from a store in Georgia called Charley Southern (@charleysouthern or charleysouthern.com).  They have a sister store called Pretty Southern which sells jewelry and tee shirts.  Mommy has ordered a few things for herself as well.  The owner of this store was very willing to change up her original design to meet Mommy's vision for us.

Jenna's bandana says, "My Dawgs Bite Hard."  Daddy decided this one was made for Jenna since she took a bite of Mommy's finger once upon a time.

Ruger's says "Sic 'Em"

Dixie's says, "And all God's people said, Go Dawgs"

Mommy was inspired to order these bandanas for us not only because they were cute, but because she had already previously ordered the human version of Dixie's  . . . they are now able to twin!

Mommy also had a custom tee shirt designed by another store found on Instagram called Two Vinyl Girls (@twovinylgirls).  You can find it here on Etsy as well.  The store owner was easy to deal with and worked with Mommy back and forth as often as needed until they settled on the pawfect design.  Mommy loves her new shirt!

We hope the great season Georgia has had continues into the post season!

Crossing our paws,
Dixie, Jenna & Ruger

Farewell to Football

It's Super Bowl Sunday and that means several things depending on who you are:
  • It's the official end of the professional football season.
  • It's a day to pig out on all kinds of snack foods.
  • It's a great day for commercial watching (something that rarely happens anymore at our house since the invention of the DVR).
Neither Mommy nor Daddy really cares that much about professional football.  Daddy will definitely watch football sometimes on Sunday afternoons, but he doesn't seem to have a favorite team.  Mommy really doesn't care about the outcome one way or the other although she enjoys football in general.  Although we will be watching the game today, it's just a celebration of those events mentioned above.

For my parents, the real football season ended right after Thanksgiving.  Yes, they watched college bowl games during the holidays and the college national championship game last month, but the regular season fun ended a while back.

Because football season was over, we apparently decided we didn't need our footballs anymore.  Mommy says at $3 each, these were a great investment for the season.  I personally LOVED the footballs!  Our season started strong . . .

But all good things must come to an end, right?  That's apparently what Dixie thought.  She recently grabbed both footballs in her mouth and refused to share.  Naturally, I had to take back what was mine.  Dixie's hoarding ways resulted in the following . . .  (Yes, I'm blaming her for this mess!)

[sigh]  I sure hope Mommy is able to find a good deal like this again next season . . .

Counting the days 'til the next kickoff,

Tough Choice?

It's finally here!  Opening day of college football season!  WHOO HOO!  If we hadn't moved this summer, Mommy and Daddy had planned to be at this year's opening game because it would have given them both a chance to pull for their respective home teams.

Mommy could have pulled for her team with a questionable mascot (according to Daddy):

And Daddy could have pulled for his team with a mascot that leads the ultimate life of dawg luxury:

At our house, this is the battle of the home states!
North Carolina Tarheels
vs
Georgia Bulldogs

Instead of watching the game in person, they'll be watching from the comfort of our sofa and we'll get to watch with them.  Yippee!  Can you guess who we'll be pulling for???

I think these last two pictures show who Mommy's really pulling for!  I mean, who do you think buys these things???  Not Daddy.  Mommy's Tarheels are just going to have to wait for basketball season to receive cheers from our house.

GO DAWGS!  SIC 'EM!
WOOF! WOOF! WOOF!

PS: When basketball season arrives, it's a whole different ballgame . . .

Are You Ready?

Are you ready for some football???  We are VERY ready for the football season at our house.  For Daddy, this means Saturdays screaming at the television if things don't go as planned.  For Mommy, this means not only football, but cooler temps (doubtful in our new location, but a girl can hope), sweater weather (see last set of parentheses), and her favorite colors of red, brown, and orange (don't tell Daddy about that last one).

We've been gearing up for this weekend's opening day of college football season for a while.  We've even been to football camp!  We are fully prepared to help out our Georgia Dawgs should they need us.

We even posed for our team photos.

Crossing our paws for a great season!

GOOOOOOO  DAWGS!!!!!!!

Put me in coach,
Jenna

PS: Happy Birthday to both Grandma and Cousin C!  We hope you enjoy your day with each other (as well as work and school too. Ick!)
